This grouping is a mixture of photographs of people and animals, along with unusual decor items. The black and white frames, some matted and some not, complete the eclectic look.

A wall covered in photographs, artwork, needlepoint captures a person's attention. It is engaging!!
Great cheeses, fine wines, aged meats --- some things just take a long time until they become just right such as distressed or weathered decor!! Aged, timeworn accessories and furniture add so much warmth, character, interest to your home. This vignette is one of my favorites......timeworn books - peeks one's interest.......... a black and white photo of long ago in an old, patina frame brings back wonderful memories......found seashells displayed in a pretty vase -- reminds one of summer days spent frolicking on the beach. The distressed painted table completes the look.
Pumpkins, colorful mums, coolness in the air, football games.......lots of things to love about Autumn!! It is so exciting to go outside and feel the coolness in the air for the first time after a long hot summer. It makes me want to go shopping for pumpkins and mums and decorate the outside of my home.
They come in many varied colours.........
There are so many ways to decorate with pumpkins. Take a look at these.......
An Autumn path of white pumpkins!!!
Decorated entryway
Beautiful front entrance...mums, pumpkins, boxwood...
Nothing better than a cool crisp evening, sitting around a beautifully decorated outdoor fireplace....
I am loving my new distressed, blue-ish grey desk and chair I found at Two Women and a Warehouse!!! The desk will be the perfect place to do my blogging, scrap-booking, crafting, etc.!!!
Now to get organized........so many choices.........I think the first item will be a burlap covered memo board. My daughter makes fabricated memory boards for some of her clients.......so, I know where I can get my memo board!!! :-)
Pottery Barn's Union Office Collection shelving are a very interesting way to organize items as well as adding a lot of decor interest! What are your thoughts on organizing for crafting, blogging??
Ahhh...velvet....one of the softest and smoothest among all other kinds of fabrics. It is the kind of fabric that makes you want to reach out and touch it! Velvet is luxurious, it adds swagger to any room!!!
The Suite Imperiale, Shangri-La Hotel, Paris
Velvet is a wonderfully decadent indulgence! Royalty and famous people have always favored it....including Jimi Hendrix and Tom Ford. Napoleon was obsessed with velvet!!
An intriguing texture, velvet is softly strokable and radiant. Whether you choose a soft, comfy sofa, or luxurious draperies, or velvet accents on pillows........velvet is a must have for your home!!
Velvet was originally made from silk. The dense cut pile makes it very soft and lustrous. Velvet is the most preferred fabric due to its high class looks and price viability. Silk velvets, cotton velvets, linen velvets........
My newest project is a shower curtain......I have found this beautiful linen sheer fabric!!! It has soft colors of blue, white and beige. I consulted with my interior designer, (who happens to be my daughter, lucky me!) and she says this fabric will be great for a shower curtain with an attached valance. Let me know what you think??
I also found several trims that I think will look really great with this fabric........one is a brush fringe, the other two are Greek key tape trims.....I really love the blue tape trim, but I think it is not wide enough.....what are your thoughts?
